Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of everything we do at Antioch Townsville.
We believe that nothing we do is more important than seeking God, listening to His voice, and partnering with Him in what He is doing in our church, our community, and around the world.
There are many ways you can get involved in prayer at Antioch, with weekly, monthly, and special event prayer rhythms that you are invited to be a part of.

Our Prayer Team is available on Sunday mornings for anyone who would like to receive prayer, and we’re always looking for people who love Jesus and love to pray to join the team and help create a welcoming space where people can encounter God through prayer.

Fallow Land is a one-hour gathering set aside for prayer and God’s presence. We meet on the first, second, and fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30–7:30am.

You’re invited to join us every Sunday at 9am for pre-service prayer as we gather together to seek God and pray for our church, our community, and the service ahead. We meet in the Antioch Kids Classroom.

On the third Monday night of each month, we gather together for a dedicated time of prayer and worship.

As part of the wider Antioch network, twice a year we participate in a three-day prayer and fast. We invite anyone who would like to join us to set aside this time to intentionally seek God, pray, and fast together as a church community.

At least once a year we offer Prophetic Prayer training, which covers topics such as what is prophecy, how to pray prophetically, how to hear from God, and how to stay grounded while operating in a prophetic gifting.

Our Prayer Team is available every Sunday morning to pray with you and for you.

In addition to prayer on Sunday mornings, we also have a team available for more dedicated times of Listening Prayer.
Listening Prayer ministry is for anybody who is longing to grow closer to God, feeling spiritually stuck, wrestling with wounds or lies, or simply hungry to hear from the Lord in a fresh way.

Our Baby Blessings are a heartfelt celebration of new life, offering pregnant mums - or mothers with infants - the chance to be surrounded by a small, supportive team of women. We will pray for you, your birth, and your baby. Open to all women, regardless of faith or religious background, this experience is designed to foster connection, love, gratitude, and hope in a warm and welcoming environment.
