A Baby Blessing is usually held in the evening, for 1-3 hours. The duration depends on how many women are present to pray, and how many women and babies are being prayed for.

Usually, for an individual ceremony, there will be 3-5 women present (you, the host, and one to three others).

A host will introduce everybody present, explain the process, and lead the evening. Each session is a little different (because each woman and each pregnancy is a little different!), but will almost certainly include:

• Soft, relaxing music in the background

• The opportunity for you to share how you are feeling, and anything you are afraid of/ wanting prayer for

• A time of listening prayer

• A time of prayer over your baby

• A time of prayer over your birth

• A time of prayer over you

Our ultimate goal for Baby Blessings is for them to a blessing to you, which means that we will ask you what you are comfortable with, and what you would like out of the experience. We will never force or coerce you to do anything you are not comfortable with.

The point of a Baby Blessing is simple; to bless. To bless you, to pray blessings over your birth, and to pray blessings over your baby.

We know that pregnancy, birth, and parenting are often very difficult, and so Baby Blessings are designed to take a pause, connect, and focus.

At the Honey and Lemon House we believe that every human being (born and unborn) is made in the image of God, and is known by Him. We believe that God has lots to say about who your baby is and will be, and the purpose of a Baby Blessing is to simply pause, ask God if He has anything to say, and pray together in a relaxed, safe, and supportive environment.

Absolutely! We want to create an environment where you feel completely comfortable. While we find that a small group size works best, you're welcome to invite any important women in your life who will help you feel supported and at ease.

We understand that every woman has her own unique personality and preferences, which is why we offer two options for our Baby Blessings:

Option One: Group Ceremonies
We host quarterly Baby Blessing evenings where women can register to participate. These gatherings typically include several expectant mothers who will be prayed for, along with a dedicated team of women there to offer prayer and support.

Option Two: Private Ceremonies
We would love to organise a private ceremony for you, at a time and place that you are most comfortable with.

There are no requirements, and we encourage you to book at whatever time that works best for you.

All women are welcome, regardless of their faith or religious background. We simply ask that you come with an open heart and mind.

The Honey and Lemon House is a ministry of Antioch Australia, we will be praying to the Christian God of the Bible. We believe that God has meaningful things to say about each individual, and we invite you to experience His presence and the beauty of His words, no matter where you are in your own spiritual journey.

There is no cost, and this is a free service.

No. Any pregnant mothers, regardless of their circumstances are welcome to register.

You do not have to be a guest of the Honey and Lemon House to register for a Baby Blessing.
