Fallow Land

What is Fallow Land?

Fallow Land is a one-hour gathering set aside for prayer and God’s presence. We meet on the first, second, and fourth Thursday of each month from 6:30–7:30am at Restoration Inn (71 Ingham Rd, West End).

All are welcome.

  • Fallow land is arable land - land suitable for farming - that is intentionally left uncultivated for a time. This rest period allows the soil to:

    • Recover and regain fertility

    • Replenish nutrients

    • Disrupt pest cycles

    • Improve long-term health and productivity

    The Spiritual Application

The Bible often compares our hearts to soil. Just as farmland needs seasons of rest, we also need intentional time set aside with the Lord to:

    • Restore spiritual health

    • Replenish what we need from Him

    • Break unhealthy cycles

    • Deepen our roots for lasting fruitfulness

Fallow Land is a time to intentionally focus on these practices.

  • Each week will look a little differently, but all are welcome to come and observe or participate. This time could include:

    • Scripture reading

    • Meditation on Scripture

    • Quiet reflection

    • Prayer

    • Worship (live or recorded)

    • Lectio Divina

    • Repentance

    • Asking for, and/or receiving prayer

Fallow Land is not a time for passionate intercession or big activity, instead it is designed as a space to simply be with God, rest in His presence, and allow Him to restore and strengthen us.

It may be helpful to bring a Bible, a journal or paper, and a pen with you.
