The Honey and Lemon House relies on the generosity of donations, and we'd be delighted to accept any gently used (or new), high-quality baby and child items that you no longer need.

What do we accept?

We accept and are always in need of:

  • cots, travel cots, bassinets, and co-sleepers (note: we do not accept mattresses)

  • linen

  • prams and strollers

  • baby carriers and wraps

  • clothing (maternity, baby and child sizes up to 2)

  • nappies (disposable and cloth)

  • wipes

  • toys and books

  • hygiene items (including postpartum care items)

  • bottles

  • swaddles, sleep sacks, and blankets

  • breast pumps and breastmilk storage bags

  • changing pads

  • baby baths

  • baby monitors

  • sound machines

  • bibs and burp cloths

  • nursing pads and pillows

  • high chairs

What condition do donations have to be in?

  • We accept maternity, baby and children's clothing up to a size 2, as well as linen (for cots, bassinets, and co-sleepers), baby blankets, swaddles, sleep sacks, bibs, wraps, carriers, and burp cloths.

    We kindly request that all donations be clean and either new, or in gently-used condition.

    We appreciate your support and ask that items be freshly laundered and free from stains, tears, unpleasant smells, or excessive wear.

  • The Honey and Lemon House gratefully accepts donations that are in new, or excellent used condition. Please thoroughly clean your items prior to donation.

    We kindly ask that all items be sturdy, free from major scratches, stains, or damage, and ready for immediate use in a new home (without the need for any extra parts or repairs).

    Please note: we do not accept mattress donations.

  • We accept cloth nappies of all sizes and brands. 

    Please only donate nappies that have their correct insert, and have been cleaned and sanitised according to Clean Cloth Nappy standards. This ensures they meet our quality requirements and are ready to be used by another family. 

    Please do not donate nappies that are torn, dirty, stretched, stained, or no longer fit for long term use. 

  • The Honey and Lemon House accepts toy donations that are in excellent condition.

    We kindly ask that all toys be clean, in good working order, free from missing parts, button battery free, and safe for young children to enjoy.

  • The Honey and Lemon House accepts children's book donations that are in great condition.

    We kindly ask that books be age appropriate, clean, with intact pages and covers, free from writing, tears, or other damage.

  • The Honey and Lemon House accepts only new hygiene and postpartum care items, including (but not limited to) perineal spray, oil, or healing gel, postpartum wipes and pads, disposable underwear, nursing pads, nipple cream, peri bottles, sitz baths, and postpartum support belts.

  • The Honey and Lemon House accepts gently used and new breastfeeding items including pumps, pillows, breastmilk storage bags, nursing pads (new only), and bras.

    Please only donate breast pumps that are in full working order, and that have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.

  • The Honey and Lemon House is happy to accept baby bottle donations that are in excellent condition.

    We kindly request that bottles be thoroughly cleaned, free from cracks or discolouration, and include all necessary parts, such as nipples and caps.

How do I donate?

Donations can either be dropped off at our store (located in Condon, Townsville) at an arranged time, or we can organize for them to be collected. To donate items, simply fill out the contact form below and we will be in touch as soon as possible to schedule a time that works best for you:
